Modular mobile suitable safety controller

digsy® fusion S is a 2nd generation 32-bit safety controller. 

Due to its redundant architecture, it reaches Performance Level d and Categories 3 according to EN ISO 13849 and AgPL d according to ISO 25119 and EN 16590. 

It is free programable according to IEC-61131-3 with CODESYS 3.5 SIL2.

digsy® fusion S is a versatile applicable, modular safety controller. 

The basis is the safe CPU board with 48 I/O´s and the communication interfaces. This can be expanded by up to 4 I/O expansion modules with 48 I/O´s each, to a maximum of 240 safe, respectively standard I/O´s.

The option to perform 2 programs in parallel, in one controller, is supported. 

A distinction is made between a safe program and a standard program for comfort functions. It is ensured that the standard program works interference-free and does not influence the safe program. Modifications to the standard program can be performed fast and without comprehensive safety analysis. 

Complex mathematical calculations can be executed on a redundant floating-point unit, even in a safe context.

With an Ethernet and 4x CAN bus interfaces the digsy® fusion S has sufficient communication options, e.g. to sensors, controllers, displays and IoT gateways. 

With a large, internal file system and an extra logging memory the digsy® fusion S offers the opportunity to hold configuration files directly on the device. Additionally, it features a FRAM for safe, redundant retained data. The USB port can be used to expand the memory or for service- and update concepts in the field.

With CODESYS 3.5 SIL2 a powerful software development environment is available which supports especially the realization of safety functions. The safe program as well as a standard program are generated with the same tool.
