The spikes in the ST 21 vibrate. The 6 spike sections are mounted on a central camshaft. When this shaft is driven, the spikes start to vibrate. This vibration helps to penetrate, crack the soil and leave a nice hole, up to 55 mm (2-1/4”) depth
